Mrs. Ashlee Bruggenschmidt

Principal

Dear Families,

It is with great pleasure, as the principal of Sharon Elementary, that I welcome you to one of the best schools in Warrick County. I am delighted to be the leader of such a wonderful school community.

I would like to take this opportunity to tell you about myself. I have taught third and fifth grade, been an assistant principal and the 2009-2010 school year was my first year as principal of Sharon Elementary School. My degrees include an Associate’s Degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Evansville, a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from the University of Southern Indiana, and a Master’s Degree in School Administration from Indiana State University.

I believe that all students can learn. My goal as the administrator of Sharon Elementary School is to provide a safe, nurturing environment for all learners. An environment where all students are valued and appreciated for what they can bring to the classroom, school, and community. This atmosphere will focus on the highest potential of each student and will foster an enthusiasm for life-long learning. In order for this to become a reality, I need your help. Parental involvement is a very important aspect of every child’s education and is the primary factor in a student’s success in school. There are many ways in which you can help out at school. Volunteering to work in the classroom, chaperoning field trips, and assisting with many class activities, are just a few things that you can do to make a difference. I encourage you to become a part of Sharon Elementary School!

In closing, please accept my best wishes for an exciting, productive, and successful school year. I welcome your thoughts, comments, and suggestions. Please feel free to call or visit at any time.
